Learn the story behind the logo
The story behind the logo. Let's get started...
I'm very much a feeler-creator. What do I mean by that? When I see something, or I think something, I do my best to be in tune with myself and listen to my own emotional cues. So when it came time to create the logo, I really had to be lock-step with my "self" to come up with a brand identity that would not only be memorable, but worthy of representing what our business is about. Each element of the logo was created with a purpose.
What's in a name?
So why not just Brian's photography; or Tucker photography; or Brian Tucker photography? While I am the person behind the camera, I am not the only person behind the business. Without the combined efforts of my wife and I, this business would not persist. My wife is an ace helpmate, providing color composition suggestions, picking site locations and props, and finding marketing opportunities. She offers encouraging words, keeps me on schedule, and makes sure I eat and take care of myself. She is the ultimate business partner, and I thank God for her.
4 Letters & 2 Rings
There are two Bs and two Ls. Each letter represents one of our four children. My kids are what provided the impetus to dive into the photography business. Shooting them growing up, school plays, sporting events, birthday parties, and holidays - each click I wanted to get something unique and memorable. They were my on-the-job training. The two rings represent mom and dad, and our responsibility to surround our kids with everything good. We not only want God to be at the center of our business, but also at the center of the lives of our children.
Focus. Target locked.
The logo itself resembles a target, with a daily focus on the cross by which I have been saved. As each day goes by, I am reminded every day that this life is not lived by my own wisdom or strength, or by the measure of my imperfections. If I received blessings based on my level of perfection, I would have nothing. I thank God for every lesson he teaches me in life, every experience good or bad that he allows me to wake up and live through, the opportunity to serve others, the blessing of a wife and our four children, and what he has done for me based on being a member of his family.
Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile; Philippians 4:13 - I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
